Ceramic glass coating

Our flagship treatment. 3 to 8 years of protection and a deep shine that holds up for years.

Our flagship treatment. A ceramic glass coating protects your paint against UV, bird droppings, tree sap, insect residues and chemical contaminants. The coating creates a hydrophobic effect, so water and dirt bond less easily, and your car stays clean longer after each wash. Depending on use and maintenance, the treatment delivers 3 to 8 years of protection.

What a ceramic glass coating is

Unlike a wax or sealant, a ceramic glass coating forms a chemical bond with your clear coat. The result is a transparent, glass-like layer a few micrometres thick that adds a few hard properties: surface hardness (often quoted on the 9H scale), chemical resistance and a strong hydrophobic effect that beads water off in droplets.

We work with Gyeon coatings, a Korean manufacturer known in the detailing world for durable, no-nonsense formulas.

What it does

What it doesn’t do

Be realistic: a ceramic glass coating isn’t an invincible shield. Stone chips, deep scratches or a shopping trolley in a parking garage will still leave their mark. What the coating does is push the first line of defence further out: your paint sits one layer deeper.

Preparation is everything

A ceramic glass coating is permanently visible, literally. Anything trapped under the coating (swirls, holograms, water spots, baked-on grime) stays there forever. That’s why preparation in our shop is at least as important as the application itself. Our full process:

  1. Wash. Snow foam pre-wash and a two-bucket hand wash to lift loose dirt off safely.
  2. Wheel wells cleaned. Often skipped, but essential. Built-up grime and brake dust otherwise runs back out while driving.
  3. Wheels removed (optional). On request we’ll dismount your wheels to clean them inside and out. Only then can they actually be coated.
  4. Clay. A clay-bar pass pulls embedded iron particles, industrial fallout and tree sap out of the paint system.
  5. Degrease. Iron remover and panel wipe strip any wax, sealant or polish residue.
  6. Dirt-free check. Final inspection under LED lights. Only when every panel is completely clean and degreased do we move on to polishing.
  7. Polishing. Two-step or three-step paint correction depending on the state of the paint: swirls, holograms and surface scratches removed.
  8. Coating applied. Panel by panel, in thin even layers, in our dust-controlled workshop.
  9. Curing. Sheltered from dust and rain so the coating can cure undisturbed before you drive off.

Plan for one and a half to two days total: preparation, coating, then curing.

Single-layer or multi-layer

The exact lifespan depends on use (mileage, weather exposure, parking in the sun) and maintenance.

Maintenance
