Tinted windows instantly sharpen the look of your car, keep heat and UV out, and protect your interior from fading. We install professional tint film in any percentage you want, from a subtle 70% down to a full blackout at 5%.
Choosing the right percentage
The tint percentage refers to how much light the film lets through (the VLT value):
- 70% (Light Smoke). Barely visible from the outside, but already filters UV and heat. Suitable for the windshield and front side windows within the legal limits.
- 50% (Medium Smoke). Visibly tinted, but occupants are still clearly visible. A popular choice for those who want subtlety.
- 35% (Smoke). The classic “automotive” look. Dark enough to give real heat and privacy benefits, light enough to keep good visibility at night.
- 20% (Dark Smoke). Heavily tinted. From outside you can barely tell what’s happening inside.
- 5% (Limo Black). Full blackout. Nothing visible from the outside. Often chosen for the rear windows of SUVs and commercial vehicles.
We’re happy to combine different percentages too, for example a lighter film on the front side windows and a darker one on the rear.
What tint film actually does
- Keeps heat out. Quality film reflects up to 60% of solar heat, so your A/C works less hard and the cabin cools faster.
- Blocks UV. Up to 99% of UV rays are filtered out, preventing leather, plastics and upholstery from fading.
- Adds privacy. Luggage, child seats and personal belongings stay out of sight.
- Reinforces the glass. If the window breaks, the film holds the shards together, reducing the risk of injury.
- Cuts glare. Less reflection from harsh sunlight, headlights and wet roads.
Legal limits in the Netherlands
Dutch law requires a minimum light transmission for the windshield and the front side windows: those windows must let enough light through to remain road-safe. For the rear windows and the rear screen there are no legal restrictions, you can go as dark as you like there.
We’ll advise you on what’s allowed so your car stays APK-compliant. When in doubt we go lighter on the front and only blackout the rear.
Our process
- Advice and selection. We discuss the desired tint percentage, take the car and how you use it into account (family, work, private), and choose the combination together.
- Window prep. Film only bonds to glass that’s completely free of dust, grease and fibres. We thoroughly clean the inside of each window.
- Film cut to size. Each window is cut precisely, either on a plotter or by hand.
- Application in a dust-free environment. We work in our closed workshop to avoid bubbles and dust under the film.
- Squeegee and cure. A professional squeegee removes any air and water under the film. After that the film cures undisturbed.
How long does it take?
An average sedan or hatchback is done in half a day. For an SUV, van or commercial vehicle we plan a full day. The film then needs a few more days to fully cure, during which time it’s best to leave the windows closed.
Warranty
We work with professional film and guarantee it against bubbling, peeling and discolouration. If something does go wrong, we replace the film free of charge.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on the number of windows, the type of car and the film chosen. Request a no-obligation quote via contact or the configurator.
